Kakinada: Both parties sense victory
The Deputy CM feels that the welfare and developmental activities taken up by Chandrababu Naidu would ensure TD’s victory.
Kakinada: Telugu Desam and YSRC leaders have been claiming that the exit polls are in their favour and seems to be confident about their victory. Both party leaders are expecting to get more than 105 seats in the Assembly elections.
YSRC has claimed that they will get more than 112 seats. Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that initially, the TD expected more than 150 seats. “But after a thorough study, the TD noticed that severe contest happened from Opposition parties and now it is expecting 100 to 105 seats. TD will assume power and Chandrababu Naidu will become the Chief Minister again,” he said.
He also said that Jana Sena captured not only youth votes, but also attracted other sections of votes and gave stiff fight in the elections. “However, Jana Sena may not get its expected number of seats,” he said.
The Deputy CM feels that the welfare and developmental activities taken up by Chandra-babu Naidu would ensure TD’s victory. He said that women, old age people and pensioners exercised their vote for TD. He said that after polling process was completed, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was fighting for sorting out the anomalies on EVMs, but YSRC has made a false campaign against the TD that TD would be defeated in the elections.
He said that the Chief Election Commissioner had not acted in an appropriate manner in the elections. “That is why differences cropped up among higher officials”.
ChinaRajappa found fault with holding re-polling at Chandragiri and opined that YSRC Chief Y.S.JaganMohan Reddy and Chevireddy influenced Election Commission in this direction. “However, TD would win Chandragiri seat and anti-waves may defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a Front led by Chandrababu Naidu will come up and it will assume power at the Centre,” he added.
Meanwhile. YSRC Kakinada Parliament Convener Kurasala Kannababu lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu for his acts in the aftermath of holding elections on April 11. He said that the exit polls will make permanent political exit for Chandrababu Naidu. Kannababu said that YSRC will assume power with grand majority and Naidu will not be able to digest the fact. He said that Chandrababu Naidu was touring across the country to meet other political parties against the NDA, though the leaders and the Chief Ministers denied his arrival.
