Andhra Pradesh cop makes a yoga album
The SP said the video would also be distributed to every college in the district.
Anantapur: A six-minute-long video, Yoga Indian Way of Life, by Kurnool SP Ake Ravi Krishna, has been launched ahead of International Yoga Day on Tuesday.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi popularising yoga worldwide, Mr Ravi Krishna has been exhorting his men to practice yoga regularly. All police personnel in the district have been practicing yoga every day for a week.
The SP had planned the video to create awareness about the benefits of yoga among youths and students, given their increased mental stress and strain.
The Jagannatha Gattu hills were chosen as the location. The video shows the SP and his men doing yogasanas at the hillocks of Jagannatha Gattu. After editing the hour-long video, it was trimmed down to a six-minute clip.
Mr Sashidhar Reddy from Kurnool directed and edited the video, which was shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube etc. after being launched at Vyas Auditorium on Sunday.
“We did an inspired experiment to be part in the yoga propaganda as it is essential for every human being in their routine lives to overcome stress,” Mr Krishna said, lauding the police officials in the district for their contribution.
The SP said the video would also be distributed to every college in the district.
