Hyderabad: Gross negligence by the concerned authorities could lead to a major disaster on Hyderabad-Mumbai Highway. Bhagyanagar Gas Company Limited had been assigned the contract of laying LPG pipelines from Narsapur Chowrasta at Balanagar to Y-Junction.

Though the pipeline work was completed last month, neither the Bhagyanagar Gas Company nor the authorities have initiated the filling and evening up of the roads that were dug up. With the delay and negligence, the road has got a huge sinkhole or cavity near the Y-Junction. This is a signal for impending disaster for motorists commuting on this road.

The Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Greater Hyderabad Municipality are chiefly responsible to get the issue sorted out as soon as possible, but so far, no action has been taken.

Kukatpally traffic ACP Mr. Pagadala Ashok said that the traffic wing had been writing letters to the concerned departments on the water logging issue as well as urging them to complete the road work, but so far no action has been taken.
