Telangana: Puppalaguda files taken in control'

Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy joint collector Sunder Abnar on Tuesday verified the files pertaining to the Puppalaguda evacuee properties and ordered the Rajendranagar revenue divisional officer to take ‘control’ of all the revenue records pertaining to the parcels of land.
Mr Abnar said that the then joint collector Seshadri of Ranga Reddy district in 2007 had sought cancellation of allotment of 99 acres of land. “In between reminders were sent to the government. We are now sending a reminder again,” Mr Abnar said.
He added ,”I have asked revenue divisional officer to seize all pahanis and other revenue records pertaining to the Puppalaguda land. We will study the records.”
The revenue officials have also asked the registration department to stop any further registration the land.
This newspaper had reported on Tuesday that in a major decision, the Rajendranagar deputy collector had recommended the cancellation of allotments and sale certificates pertaining to the 99 acres of evacuee land in Puppalaguda.
