Chandrababu Naidu note on Revanth to Rajnath Singh
He said Mr Revanth Reddy had also taken up several agitation programmes against the state government.
Hyderabad: TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday wrote to Union home minister Rajnath Singh requesting him to direct the Telangana state government to improve security cover to TS TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy.
Mr Naidu wrote to Mr Singh that Mr Revanth Reddy, the TD working president in Telangana state, was “fighting against the anti-people policies” of the Telangana state government.
He said Mr Revanth Reddy had also taken up several agitation programmes against the state government. Against this background, the TD leader faced a threat to his life. Mr Naidu said that the High Court had directed the Telangana state government to improve security cover to Mr Revanth Reddy.
In this backdrop, Mr Naidu requested the Union home minister to direct the Telangana state government immediately to provide additional security to Mr Revanth Reddy. The TS government had recently reorganised security for some TD leaders; there was a controversial proposal for AP police to provide them cover.
