Hyderabad: The TS government is planning to build an IT Tower at Gachibowli, that will be bigger than the Cyber Towers which is often associated with AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The new tower will house IT firms.

Cyber Towers is already missing from all advertisements and promotional activities being taken up by the government on the occasion of TS Formation Day or other special occasions. The TS government has been promoting its own T-Hub, the brainchild of IT minister K.T. Rama Rao.

However, with a built-up area of just 70,000 sft, the T-Hub building is physically no match for the gigantic 10-storey Cyber Towers, which has a built-up area of 5.80 lakh sft.

The Cyber Towers, located along main road of Gachibowli attracts immediate attention, while T-Hub, located inside the IIIT-campus is not visible to outsiders.

“A suitable site has been identified at Gachibowli which is adjacent to GAME city. The proposal has been submitted to the government for approval. Construction will begin as soon as the government gives its nod. The construction will suit the needs of big, medium and small IT firms,” said sources in the IT department.
Mr Rama Rao has been actively pursuing the issue with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, they said.
