IMT to host India's first service excellence index'

CHENNAI: With India positioned to become one of the leaders in the world in the service sector, experts from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, have proposed to come out with a “service excellence index for India” across all sectors. This is the first such initiative in India, which will help to evolve a roadmap for all the industries and academic institutions to orient their strategy and cater to the requirement of the people.
Experts from the IMT, Ghaziabad, one of the top institutions in the country and third in India to get international accreditation – AASCB, who were in city on Thursday, claim that the service sector which has been contributing substantially to the national GDP, will give more impetus to the national economy.
The service excellence index, he said would come up in February or March 2018. “We will create cases on service failure and recovery and identify the gaps as to why the failures happen and how to address them,” he added.
