3 terrorists killed in Tangdhar sector of J&K, encounter ends
The slain terrorists were involved in the August 19 attack in which 3 BSF personnel were injured.
Kupwara: A massive gunbattle took place between terrorists and security forces in Tangdhar area of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists were killed by four paratroopers of Indian Army.
The 3 slain terrorists were involved in the attack on August 19 in which 3 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured. Three weapons and other warlike stores have been recovered from them.
4 Para commandos of the Indian army retaliated to the fire by the three terrorists, who had been trapped during the encounter.
The entire area has been cordoned off as attempts are being made to smoke out the terrorists.
In June, the Army foiled an infiltration bid by killing two militants in Tangdhar sector near the Line of Control.
It was the second such infiltration bid foiled by the security forces along the LoC in Kashmir in three days.
