Telangana reports 68 swine flu cases in 20 days
A total of 500 blood samples were tested from August 1 to August 19. There were no human casualties.
Hyderabad: Sixty-eight cases of swine flu were reported in the state from August 1. The victims are mainly from Mahaboob Nagar, Karimnagar, Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad and Hyderabad. They are undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital and private hospitals in the city. A total of 500 blood samples were tested from August 1 to August 19. There were no human casualties.
However, two pregnant women succumbed to swine flu in Gandhi Hospital in July. A senior physician at the Gandhi Hospital said, “The patients were admitted in the hospital on time. Though some of them had a 90 per cent viral load, it was managed with medicines, rest and isolation. Those who have swine flu symptoms must ensure that the body gets enough rest.”
