Hyderabad: 24-hour traffic curbs from Sunday morning
Restrictions in place to facilitate the Ganesh idol immersion processions.
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Thursday imposed traffic restrictions to facilitate the Ganesh immersion processions for 24 hours from 6 am on Sunday. Hasmathpet Tank: Vehicles carrying Ganesh Idols from Bowenpally and other Secunderabad colonies should enter via Anjaiahnagar and after immersion exit towards Old Bowenpally, Mosque road or Harijanbasthi. IDL Tank: Vehicles of visitors will not be allowed. Vehicles carrying Ganesh idols from Godrej, Kukatpally, JNTU to converge at IDL Junction, proceed towards tank, exit towards Rainbow Vista.
Road from IDL tank entrance to Rainbow Vista T-Junction to be closed to general traffic. From Hyderabad: Vehicles carrying idols will not be allowed on Fathenagar flyover from Balanagar, Balkampet and Sanathnagar. Cyber Towers flyover and Gachibowli flyover also shut to vehicles carrying idols. Heavy vehicles and RTC buses will not be allowed on the following roads: BHEL crossroad to Miyapur; Balanagar to Fathenagar bridge; Godrej to Erragadda; Miyapur to Godrej, Kukatpally; Ferozguda to Godrej, Kukatpally; Gudenmet to Narsapur crossroads; PVNR flyover from Aramghar crossroads; RTC buses are restricted from Aramghar crossroads towards Bahadurpura.
Vehicles from Sangareddy, Patancheru and BHEL towards Kukatpally, Hyderabad will be diverted at BHEL crossroads to Lingampally, HCU, Gachibowli, Tolichowki. Vehicles coming from BHEL, Chandanagar and Miyapur towards Ameerpet will be diverted at Miyapur crossroads via Bachupally and Dundigal road.
