Hyderabad High Court directs GHMC for original layout

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the GHMC to produce the original layout of New Marutinagar Colony in Karmanghat area of the city by next week.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice M. Ganga Rao was dealing with an appeal by Sama Venkat Reddy, the developer of the layout, challenging an order of a single judge directing the GHMC to develop a park in the open place earmarked in the layout.
Mr Venkat Reddy has claimed that he is the owner of the said land, following which the New Maruti Nagar Welfare Association moved court, challenging the alleged failure of the authorities to protect the open space earmarked for park.
Justice Anis gets a warm farewell
The Bar and Bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday bid farewell to Justice Anis, judge of the High Court on her retirement.
Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and all the judges and advocates assembled in the first court hall for the farewell function recalled the services Justice Anis had rendered to the judiciary.
Justice Anis in her thanksgiving address remembered the cooperation and assistance extended by the judicial officers and staff and the advocates in rendering justice to the needy.
Later the High Court Advocates Associations of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana felicitated Justice Anis in the association hall.
