Rs 500 crore for Gulf workers: Uttam Kumar Reddy

The TPCC chief reiterated that Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver would be given in one go and 1 lakh jobs would be given to unemployed youth.

Kamareddy (NZB): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC)  president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday said that, after the Congress comes to power, Rs 500 crore will be provided in the Budget every year for Gulf migrant workers.

“We will also reopen the Nizam Sugar factory immediately” he added.

Speaking at the public meeting organised for Rahul Gandhi’s visit, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said that a high-level committee will be constituted for beedi workers welfare.

The TPCC chief reiterated that Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver would be given in one go and 1 lakh jobs would be given to unemployed youth.

Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy listed out the poll promises in his speech.

He said that free power upto 200 units for SC/STs and 7 kg of fine quality rice along with nine varieties of essential commodities would be given. In addition, he said that pensions would be hiked and minimum support prices provided.

Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy predicted that the Congress party would form the government in Telangana on December 12.

He said that in all the nine Assembly constituencies will be winning by Congress in composite Nizamabad district.

Congress activists from all the nine Assembly constituencies in undivided Nizamabad, neighboring Karimnagar and Medak districts attended the meeting. NH-44, Karimnagar-Kamareddy-Yellareddy state highway witnessed traffic jams with vehicles proceeds for Rahul Gandhi meeting .
