Andhra Pradesh man finishes 4,000 km Pacific Crest Trail in US
The world’s second longest hike cost him $8,500 (Rs 6 lakh) and he paid for it himself.
Vijayawada: A techie from Vijayawada has completed the gruelling 4,270-km Pacific Crest Trail, from Mexico-US border to the Canada-US border in British Columbia. Karthikeya Nadendla, 29, who hails from Suryaroapet in Vijayawada, and has been living in Victoria, Canada, for the last seven years, completed the hike in 152 days.
Karthikeya, son of a retired income-tax auditor Nadendla Srinivasa Rao and his wife Janaki, is only the second Indian to complete the trail Kittu Kollipara. He works as a business analyst at a Canadian firm.
He began the hike on April 30, 2019 from Campo in California on the Mexican border and reached the finish in Canada on September 20. To prepare for the Trail, he had trained briefly trained in wilderness first aid.

This Pacific Crest Trail ranges in elevation from sea level at the Oregon-Washington border to about 13,000 feet (4,009 m) in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
