This year's MILAN is being hosted at Visakhapatnam from February 19, 2024
Visakhapatnam: Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Indian Navy organised a video conference on October 17 with officials of countries, which will be participating in MILAN 24.
MILAN is a biennial multilateral naval exercise conceived by the Indian Navy in 1995.
This year’s MILAN is being hosted at Visakhapatnam from February 19, 2024.
The harbour phase of MILAN 24 will comprise International Maritime Seminar, City Parade at RK Beach, Swavlamban Exhibition, Subject Matter Expert Exchange and a meeting of young officers.
Ships, maritime patrol aircraft and submarines of friendly foreign countries will participate in the sea phase of the exercise along with Indian Navy units.
The run-up to MILAN is concomitant with India's G20 Presidency. Conduct of the exercise will yet again realise the G20 theme of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.
