Andhra Pradesh: Equal salary for contract staff in medical wing
The employees who joined the department in 2017 are getting more salary than those who were recruited in 2010.
Vijayawada: The state government will act strict on anomalies with regard to salaries of contract employees in the medical and health department. Minister for medicine and health Dr. Kamineni Srinivas said that the Group of Ministers has decided to give equal salaries to all the contract employees in the health department. The Group of Ministers comprises Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, minister for finance, Ganta Srinivasarao, minister for education, Kalva Srinivasulu, minister for I&PR and Dr Kamineni Srinivas.
The employees who joined the department in 2017 are getting more salary than those who were recruited in 2010, which prompted constituting the GoM to study the anomalies. As there are more contract employees in the medical and health department, anomalies are also high. The GoM decided to pay equal salaries. In other departments, there will be only basic salary but in the medical and health department, house and daily allowances will also be given, along with the basic salary. Now, the GoM has decided to give house and daily allowances to the technical staff too.
