Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat gets over a lakh responses

Between 15 lakh to 30 lakh people had called up to listen to the recorded version of the PM's talk, says Gaurvad Dwivedi, ceo of MyGov.in.

Bengaluru: It may be ridiculed by his opponents and detractors, but Mann Ki Baat, the monthly radio talk by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has got over a lakh suggestions for 25 episodes.

Revealing this, Mr Gaurvad Dwivedi,  chief executive officer of MyGov.in, the nodal agency for hosting several initiatives of the NDA government, said between 15 lakh to 30 lakh people had called up to listen to the recorded version of the Prime Minister's talk.

 "When an unsolicited call comes we may listen for about five seconds, But in this case, the average duration of listening to the recorded message of the Prime Minister was 23 minutes," he said

Speaking on the theme 'Minimum government and maximum governance' at a regional workshop, Mr Dwivedi said digital governance enabled the people on the street to be part of planning and  discussing ideas with the government. "The MyGov platform will help people to be part of the consultative process," he added.

He also said that the national education policy draft was viewed and discussed by 1.18 lakh people.
