Hyderabad: Keep your surroundings clean and win gold as a reward.
At Gudimalkapur, a TRS corporator, Bangari Prakash, has been visiting homes  promising residents gifts in gold. In his entire division, sixty households will be marked for maintaining proper hygiene and for following garbage segregation.

From this 60, 10 residents will be eligible to win a gram of gold. The scheme is set to start from the month of February and the  rest of the households will receive appreciation certificates.

As part of the ongoing Swachh Sarvekshan survey, the GHMC’s corporators in the city, along with GHMC ward members, are campaigning in their divisions — urging citizens to vote for Hyderabad in the upcoming survey. Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Mr Prakash said his gifts in gold will be in the form of jewellery, or coins.

“A total of 60 homes will be identified, out of which 10  will be given the gold weighing one gram. It will be in the form of an ornament or a coin. I will be bearing all the expenses. The selection of the 10 candidates will be through a lucky draw, which will be held on February 6 in the division,” he said.

Division number 93 – Guddimalkapur has a population of 1 lakh, and there is a total of 25,000 households. It’s a  mix developed colonies and urban slums.
