KSRTC to run 100 special buses to Tumakuru
Devotees can board the bus from Majestic and other designated points on Tumakuru Road.
Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is shifting into top gear to handle the surge of devotees thronging to pay their final respects to Dr Shivakuamara Swamy. KSRTC is operating more than 100 buses from Bengaluru to Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru.
"Devotees can board the bus from Majestic and other designated points on Tumakuru Road. Additional bus services will be operational tomorrow as well. His life is a message of humanity and nobleness. So we know that the devotees will be shuttled in various part of Karnataka, so our step is to help them to reach early, So we have arranged 100 bus in Tumakur intercity itself for two days and also buses from other parts of the state" KSRTC senior official told Deccan Chronicle.
The Corporation says that 100 plus buses in Tumakuru city from KSRTC bus stand, Railway station, APMC, Junior College to Siddaganga Mutt have been deployed to facilitate devotees. Also Further, additional buses will be operated from all Districts to Tumakuru to cater devotees. These buses will operate both Monday and Tuesday with normal fares.
"We are from Mysore and we were worried about the bus timings to reach Tumakur, but now the KSRTC is operating the special for two days which will run in normal fares. It will be very helpful for people like us" says, Sridhar, a devote of Siddaganga Mutt.
