Hyderabad: Power theft kills degree student

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old student was electrocuted while charging her mobile phone in RR district on Tuesday. Police said that Bokkeni Narsamma who was charging her Chinese made mobile phone, suffered electric shock and collapsed at home.

Narsamma, who hails from Nagasamudram village, was studying degree first year in Sindhu Degree College in Tandur. On Tuesday at around 5.30 am she went to charge her phone.

The moment, she inserted the charger into the socket, she suffered a shock and collapsed. Her parents rushed her to hospital but doctors declared her dead. Police registered a suspicious death case. The cops found that Narsamma’s house had an illegal power connection. They had connected cables to the main lines using hooks.
