GHMC says old data delayed its work

Hyderabad: The GHMC has blamed its inaction regarding unauthorised constructions on the Centre for Good Governance which it says has not updated the relevant data. A GHMC official said the National Remote Sensing Agency had already submitted satellite images of constructions which applied for the Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS) and those that came up after March 1, 2016.

A senior GHMC official said the CGG had been asked to expedite updating of the NRSA data to enable the corporation to prepare an action plan to demolish unauthorised constructions. The corporation could not carry out any demolitions without the data
