Student ends life over marks in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Depressed over his poor academic performance an engineering student committed suicide at a hostel in Kompally.

The student, Rakesh, hailing from Nizamabad district, was a student of CMR Engineering Coll-ege. He left a suicide note saying that he was ending his life as he had become a burden to his parents. “Rakesh was depressed and was not attending classes,” SI S. Srinath said.

On Monday when his roommates went to the college Rakesh stayed back. When a hostel employee came to the room he found it locked and when he peeped through a window, he found Rakesh hanging.

“He hanged himself with a lungi. He left a note saying that nobody was responsible for his death,” the sub inspector  added.
