Bengaluru: Adding to the woes of ?the already traffic-clogged city, the indefinite strike by thousands of Anganwadi workers chocked the entire Central Business District for hours together and brought the areas around Majestic, Palace Road, Sheshardri Road and nearby areas to a grinding halt.
All those who had left home to reach office on time were seen reaching office late by at least two to three hours owing to the bumper to bumper traffic.
“Though roads in CBD are jam-packed everyday, Tuesday’s condition was worst ever. Most of them had just left their vehicle on road and were seen standing below tree shades” said irritated Mr Sudarshan, a techie.
Police force was beefed up to manage the situation which went out of control for them. The two-way Sheshadri Road was made into one-way blocking vehicles entering from K R Circle. ?
