N Chandrababau Naidu for Japan model agitation
Centre had done injustice to AP during NTR rule: CM.
Nellore: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has advocated the need to protest for the rights but at the same time keep the attention on development in mind just as is done by the Japanese. He indirectly tried to point out the ongoing battle for special category status with the Centre. Speaking to media persons at Tirumala after the darshan of the Lord of Seven Hills, the Chief Minister said he prayed to the Almighty to give self-confidence to Andhra people so that they could move forward while protecting their self-respect.
He said the Centre has been doing injustice to Andhra Pradesh in the past also when NTR was Chief Minister by dethroning him but he came back to power with the cooperation of people and blessings of Venkateswara within a month. He went for elections shortly thereafter only to return to power with a huge majority.
Referring to the sacrifices of Potti Sriramulu for the formation of a state for Telugu speaking people and the circumstances that led Andhraites to leave Hyderabad after 60 years of toil to develop the city in the backdrop of bifurcation, he lamented over the ordeals of the people of the state.
Reminding that they left Hyderabad with a pair of dress and loans, Mr Naidu said he felt very sad during bifurcation. Pointing to the provisions in the AP Reorganisation Act and the assurances given to them while passing the Bill in the Rajya Sabha, the Chief Minister said they are compelled to fight to see that those promises are fulfilled. “We are forced to introduce no-confidence motion with the help of other parties to ensure justice for the people. I seek the blessings of the Lord to sort out all the issues” the CM noted.
Mr Naidu said he also prayed to the Lord to keep Andhraites on the highest pedestal not only in the country but also in the world since the state is located at his feet. He said he wants to make his grandson Devaansh a good citizen and appealed to all parent to strive to see that their children grow up as responsible citizens for a better society. Reminding that Annaprasana and Aksharabhyasam were performed to Devaansh at Tirumala, he said Lord Venkateswara is their “Kuladaivam” (Family deity) hence it has become a practice to have the darshan of the Lord every year on the occasion of Devaansh birthday.
‘Not interested in national politics’
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has made new but interesting allegations on the Central government that it has been cornering TD fearing Naidu will enter into national politics. Mr Naidu reiterated that he is not interested in national politics. While addressing a teleconference on Wednesday from Tirupati, Mr Naidu said that the Centre is troubling the state government with unnecessary doubts and extended his allegations that the BJP considered YSRC support in Presidential elections with the same skepticism. He directed MPs to be united and see that the BJP discusses on no-trust motion at any cost.
The CM remembered the unity of the 161 MLAs that was exhibited during a crisis earlier and said that the same dedication should be shown by the MPs now. Mr Naidu reiterated that the TD doesn’t have hatred towards anyone. The CM shared that the public are under the notion that the Centre hadn’t kept its words. Mr Naidu also told that except the BJP, all parties are expressing their sympathy towards AP.
