Revanth inaugurates Bharat Jodo U-19 cricket tournament
Hyderabad: The Under-19 Bharat Jodo T20 All India cricket tournament began across different playgrounds here on Wednesday after a formal inauguration by PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy and Tamil Nadu MLA, J.M.H. Hassan Moulana at Amberpet Waterworks playground.
The tournament, patronised by former MP and chairman of Cricket Federation of India (CFI), V. Hanumantha Rao, will be held at Vijay Anand grounds and LB Stadium.
After successfully organising the 40th Rajiv Gandhi (U-19) cricket tournament, Rao, a former sports minister in the undivided Andhra Pradesh, said that he will strive to produce best sportspersons from the city.
“Since Rahul Gandhi with his fighting spirit proved everyone wrong and walked the entire length of the nation, the new generation should get inspired from his example. This U-19 tournament is part of that motivating exercise,” he said.
