Withdraw proposed Advocates Amendment Bill 2017, demand advocates
The advocates cautioned the Centre that they would intensify their protest if the government did not withdraw the proposed amendment.
Hyderabad: Demanding that the Centre withdraw the proposed Advocates Amendment Bill 2017, advocates of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday boycotted for all courts after lunch hour.
Members of the Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association, AP High Court Advocates’ Association and Bar Council of AP assembled at Gate No 6 and burnt copies of the proposed legislation and later took out a rally in front of the High Court.
The advocates cautioned the Centre that they would intensify their protest if the government did not withdraw the proposed amendment.
The lawyers at Nampally criminal courts, city civil courts, Secunderabad courts and other court complexes in the city also staged protests and burnt copies of the proposed Bill.
