Former minister K Prabhakar Reddy cheated by industrialist
A case under charges of cheating and forgery was registered at Nampally police station.
Hyderabad: Former Home Minister of undivided AP K. Prabhakar Reddy approached police alleging that he was cheated by industrialist Krishna Prasad, the managing partner of Vishnu homes. A case under charges of cheating and forgery was registered at Nampally police station. Nampally police officials said that the case is under investigation.
Prabhakar Reddy in his complaint stated that his family owned a flat in an apartment at Nampally. Recently, they received notices from the income tax department, to pay a penalty of Rs 10 lakh for alienating the property. However, since they had not sold the property, they inquired and found that Krishna Prasad had alienated the property to one G. Rajagopala Naidu, by misrepresenting and impersonating himself as the original owner of the flat and got it registered at sub-registrar’s office in Golconda in December 2007.
Mr Reddy’s daughter stated that they did not alienate their property to anybody and the signatures and the thumb impressions in the sale deed could have been forged.
Claiming that Krishna Prasad had cheated his family, Mr Reddy sought criminal action on the former.
