Hyderabad: Youth kills deer for party, held
The officials rushed to the spot, apprehended the accused, identified as Shekar, and seized some deer meat, head, and limbs.
Hyderabad: A youngster who had hunted a deer to provide venison for a party was apprehended at Yalal in Vikarabad on Saturday night. The arrest was made after the forest department and police officials received a tip-off that venison was being served at a party that had been organised in the village.
On Sunday night, forest and police officials were told by locals of Yalal mandal about a man who had gone hunting in the forest and had thrown a party where he served deer meat. The officials rushed to the spot, apprehended the accused, identified as Shekar, and seized some deer meat, head, and limbs. Shekar, who is in his mid-20s, is a native of Bhanupur in Vikarabad district.
The forest department found that more persons were involved in the poaching. They are still investigating into how many deer Shekar had hunted. The officials have registered a case under the Forest Act.
