Nod for long-pending Karimnagar-Hasnaparthi railway line
HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday said that the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had given the green signal to the long-pending Karimnagar-Hasnaparthi railway line. Sanjay, who was in Delhi, requested the minister to develop the Jammikunta railway station.
Sanjay met with the Union jal shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and requested him to approve the Palamuru Ranga Reddy lift irrigation project.
Sanjay urged Shekhawat to have the state government send the detailed project report and ensure that people do not suffer for the mistake made by the K. Chandrashekar Rao government which agreed to 299 tmc ft of water as Telangana’s share in Krishna river water. The minister assured Sanjay that he would look into the issue.
During his meeting with Vaishnaw, Sanjay thanked the minister for directing railway officials to begin a survey for the 62-kilometre Karimnagar-Hasnaparthi line which will benefit people from Karimnagar and Warangal districts. He thanked the minister for including Karimnagar station for redevelopment.
