But this scheme will be applicable to final-year students (B.A/B.Com/B.Sc courses) studying only in government degree colleges.
Hyderabad: In a big boost to undergraduate students across ten districts, the Telangana government has announced cash incentives for their higher studies at reputed national institutions.
All those final-year degree students, who manage to get entry into PG courses at IITs, NITs, Central Universities etc. will now be given Rs 50,000 each year, for their two-year study. But this scheme will be applicable to final-year students (B.A/B.Com/B.Sc courses) studying only in government degree colleges.
This incentive is independent of any other scholarship or grant or prize that a student secures. And to be eligible, the student should have passed the final-year exams (2015-16) from any government degree college.
The Telangana government accorded a sum of Rs 10 lakh to Commissioner of Collegiate Education to be used for this scheme. A.
