Karnataka: Mistaken identity? Man in Saudi jail

The Saudi police were searching for Nayaz, a resident of Bengaluru who was declared absconder by the police.

Bengaluru:  A 41-year-old man from Tumakuru has reportedly been lodged in a jail in Saudi Arabia for the last one month over, what his family members claim, a mistaken identity. Nayaz Ahmed, a resident of Turuvekere, flew to Saudi Arabia on April 20 and was arrested at the airport by investigation officers. It is said that the police found the details in Nayaz's passport matching with another person with the same name and date of birth who was involved in criminal activities. The Saudi police were searching for Nayaz, a resident of Bengaluru who was declared absconder by the police. Nayaz's family members claim that the Saudi police have mistaken Nayaz Ahmed with another Nayaz.
