Congress announces campaign in-charges of 18 Uttar Pradesh districts
Former MPs Anu Tandon and Rashid Alvi have been made campaign in-charges for Lucknow and Moradabad districts.
New Delhi: Gearing up for Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Congress on Thursday announced campaign in-charges for 18 districts in the state.
While former MPs Anu Tandon and Rashid Alvi have been made campaign in-charges for Lucknow and Moradabad districts, former Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi has been made the campaign in-charge of Allahabad. Congress leader Ajay Rai, who unsuccessfully contested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last Lok Sabha polls, has been made campaign in-charge for Varansi district.
Harender Malik will be the campaign in-charge for Saharanpur district, Harshwardhan Valmiki for Agra, Hasan Arif Ansari for Aligarh and Ram Bachan Dhuria for Azamgarh district.
Fazle Masood is the Congress campaign incharge for Bareily district, Ishwar Chandra Shukla for Basti district and Pritam Singh Lodhi for Chitrakoot district.
Tarun Patel will be poll campaign in-charge for Devipattan district, Gyanendra Pratap Singh for Faizabad and Ambika Singh for Gorakhpur district, while Pradip Jain Aditya is campaign incharge for Jhansi district and Ram Asrey Prasad for Kanpur district.
Others include Surendra Goyal for Meerut district, Rajespati Tripathi for Mirzapur district.
