Spacious marriage halls are huge hit in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Function halls, spread over more than an acre of land, are the new trend in the southern areas of the city. Several function halls have come up on the Inner Ring Road from Langer Houz to Bandlaguda via Aramgarh in the last couple of years.
The halls are a hit among families performing marriages owing to several factors including lawns, adequate parking space and area for setting up children’s play equipment. “Rents depend on the services including food, seating arrangements, decoration and lighting. The charges are between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 7 lakh,” said a function hall owner.
A few marriage halls on the Aramgarh-RGI Airport road are even costlier and have a larger area. At a few function halls, the parking area is about half an acre. The premises are replicas of palatial houses.
