Telangana: FIRs now monitored on real time basis

Hyderabad: The Director General of police M. Mahendar Reddy held a state level workshop on Uniform Service Delivery across all police stations using new technologies and people related initiatives in Telangana on Saturday.
The DGP said that now onwards, the top officials will monitor the work at police stations on real-time basis to ensure every administrative and crime related work is done perfectly. All FIR’s and Special Branch reports will be monitored on real time basis to reduce delays or errors from the grass root level. It was further decided to provide feedback to all complainants/petitioners on the progress of their cases/petitions.
Different topics came to fore including providing consistent and reliable services in all police stations for all sections of people, by all ranks.
Enhancing a sense of safety and security for all citizens, providing quality of living for all citizens in all police stations supported by use of technologies, promoting a culture of result-based monitoring and evaluation in police work and finally achieving a crime free society.
The workshop included presentation on Government Vision to make Telangana a crime free state and technologies implemented by the police. Two applications - Hawkeye and TSCOP were also showcased.
