Telugu Desam-Congress nexus stands exposed: BJP
They alleged AP Chief Minister N. Chandra-babu Naidu visited Delhi on Saturday, a day after the vote, to thank the Congress.
Hyderabad: BJP leaders Daggupati Purandeshwari and Sudhish Rambhotla on Friday said the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha exposed the “shady deal between the TD and the Congress”. They alleged AP Chief Minister N. Chandra-babu Naidu visited Delhi on Saturday, a day after the vote, to thank the Congress.
Ms Purandeshwari said, “The no-confidence motion not only exposed the shady deal between TDP and Congress but also exposed who were obstructing the growth of Andhra Pradesh.” She also cited Mr Naidu praising and thanking Mr Modi and finance minister Arun Jaitely for giving special package in 2016 saying that it was better than special status. She said Mr Naidu owes an explanation to people of AP for his sudden U-turn on this issue.
“The TD was founded by late NTR on the foundation of anti-Congress. Now, Mr Naidu has joined hands with the same Congress and put Telugu pride at the feet of the Congress,” she said. Mr Rambhotla said, “Mr Naidu is opposing the special package as there is no scope for siphoning off funds, which is directly monitored by the Centre. He wants the special status as he and other TD leaders can make money. Naidu is in a myth that he can win the elections by joining hands with Congress.”
