Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man from Manipur hanged himself at an apartment in Subramanyapura police limits on Sunday.

The deceased, Lishwant Gojendra Singh, had moved to the city a few years ago and was working as a technician at Abbaiah Naidu Studio in Chikkalasandra. He had taken the apartment on rent near the studio.

“His neighbours found him hanging on Sunday morning and alerted the police. Though the exact reason for the extreme step is not known, it is said that he was depressed after his girlfriend deserted him. We have informed his family members and we will question them once they arrive,” the police said.
