Sa Ra Mahesh: BJP confusion hints at polls soon
Speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Wednesday, hHe said, that only half the cabinet has been filled.
Former minister and JD(S) leader Sa Ra Mahesh said that going by the confusion in the BJP, there is every chance of a mid-term election to the assembly.
Speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Wednesday, hHe said, that only half the cabinet has been filled. Only 34 leaders can be made ministers, and it is obvious that the remaining 80 MLAs will remain dissatisfied and the problems will increase, he said.
He added that, if they (BJP) feel that they can check JD (S) leaders by raising a hue and cry over the telephone tapping issue, they are living in a illusory world.
Mr Mahesh also said that last year, a rental amount of Rs 10,000 was given to the flood victims who lost their homes in Kodagu. But this year the BJP government has reduced the amount to to Rs 5000, he said.
On the allegation made by BJP leaders that the previous Congress-JD(S) coalition government had indulged in transfers, Mr Sa Ra Mahesh said, "even before the formation of the cabinet, they had got 600 officers transferred."
He also said that old Mysuru region including Mysuru, Kodagu. Chamarajnagar and Mandya has not been given representation in the state cabinet. It would affect relief work in flood hit Kodagu and Mysuru districts and also Mysuru Dasara, Mr Mahesh claimed.
