Thiruvananthapuram: Two teachers booked for abetment
The police could not record the victim statement but has taken the father's statement.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kollam West police on Saturday booked two teachers in connection with the incident at Trinity Lyceum where a 10th standard girl jumped from the third storey of the school and suffered serious head injuries.
Suicide bid abetment cases have been registered against teachers Sindhu and Crescent, based on the parents’ complaint that the teachers had beaten the student.
The incident occurred around 1.30 p.m. on Friday. The student, a native of Ramankulangara, first admitted at a hospital in Kollam, was later shifted to a private hospital in the city. The student’s condition was still serious.
The police could not record the victim statement but has taken the father’s statement. The police, who interacted with classmates and teachers, have found the girl to be an above-average student.
