CPI hits out at Telugu Desam's fake' promises
K. Narayana slammed the government saying that it was bluffing people with lame promises.
TIRUPATI: CPI national secretary K. Narayana slammed the government saying that it was bluffing people with lame promises, adding that the public has lost hope on the political parties. Speaking to media persons in Gudur of Nellore district, Mr Narayana said, “My brother’s family lost members from three generations of ladies in the tragic ferry incident at Ibrahimpatnam. He incident was the result of negligence on the part of the government.”
Mr Narayana has written an open letter to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saying, “Public has lost confidence in politics and politicians who bluff them. Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister are trying to highlight their devotional aspect. As a Chief Minister, to offer prayers at the Godavari Pushkaralu, you took so many lives. The Ibrahimpatnam incident is also the government negligence. Using devotional programmes for the politics is bad idea.”
He added, “With politics being turned into business, the devotion is now becoming business. Festivals now became fashion, to show their wealth the Prasadam Laddus are brought for lakhs of rupees in auctions. The tourism in the state needs to be under observation and checks.”
