Narayana Junior College student attempts suicide at hostel in Hyderabad
She claimed that since then the lecturer has had a grudge against her and has been continuously harassing her without reason.
Hyderabad: Depressed at being harassed by a lecturer at Narayana Junior College, Kukatpally, where she was a second-year Intermediate student, Navyasri Goud attempted suicide on Tuesday by slitting her wrist in the hostel. She was admitted to hospital and a case has been registered against the lecturer, police said.
According to Ms Goud, six months ago, the junior mathematics lecturer Ms Keerthi had punished her for some issue and Ms Goud had questioned how she could be punished for no reason.
“She told me that I cannot question her and have no right to question her. She also threatened that she had the support of the college management and no one will question her on anything,” said Ms Goud.
She claimed that since then the lecturer has had a grudge against her and has been continuously harassing her without reason.
On Sunday night, Ms Keerthi allegedly abused her and said she was useless and should die instead of staying in the college.
