Rebels agree to withdraw nominations

Hyderabad: With only a day left for the withdrawal of nominations, the pacification measures taken by the TRS and the Congress are yielding results as some of the rebel candidates of both parties assured that they would withdraw.
Caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday spoke with some rebel leaders at the Telangana Bhavan. He spoke to Kottha Manohar Reddy, who had filed his nomination as a BSP candidate in the Maheswaram Assembly constituency, and assured him that he would be taken back into the party. Later, Manohar Reddy assured to withdraw his nomination.
On the Congress side, TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, AICC secretary Madhu Yashki, former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy and others convinced party rebels Rohin Reddy from Khairathabad, Adam Umadevi from Secunderabad to withdraw their nominations.
With the assurance of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu TD rebel candidate Praveen from Amberpet has announced that he will withdraw his nomination. Jaipal Reddy too held discussions with former MLA Bhikshapathi Yadav, a rebel candidate from Serilimgampally, and managed to pacify him.
