Hyderabad: Telugu Desam MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy on Wednesday told TS finance minister Etala Rajender that Anantapur and Kurnool districts lost heavily as they were not included in TS after bifurcation.
Mr Diwakar Reddy, who was in the Assembly premises met Mr Rajender who was going into his chambers.
Mr Diwakar Reddy said that if Anantapur and Kurnool districts had been included in TS, they would have been able to get water and food. He said that he met TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao at that time and requested him to include both the districts in TS by proposing Rayala-Telangana state.
“If KCR was our Chief Minister, the situation (in Anantapur and Kurnool) would have been different,” he said.
Mr Rajender said that they were also confident that Anantapur and Kurnool districts would be included in TS.
Mr Diwakar Reddy said, “Reddys in T-Congress obstructed inclusion of the two districts in Telangana.”
Later, when Mr Diwakar Reddy entered T-Congress leader K. Jana Reddy’s chambers, TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy offered him tea. To this, Mr Diwakar Reddy said “I will not take Telangana chai, I will take only Andhra tea”.
