The court felt there would be no ROC role to take a decision on shifting NCLT.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has issued notices to the Centre asking it to respond to a plea for shifting the National Company Law Tribunal’s Hyderabad bench from its present location to the center of the city.
Justice P. Naveen Rao on Tuesday issued notices to the Union ministry of corporate affairs to file a counter within two weeks. He was disposing of a petition filed by Mr L. Venkateshwar Rao, secretary of NCLT bar association, seeking a direction to the Registrar of Companies (RoC) and the Union ministry to shift the present office, located at Thattiannaram village in Rangareddy district.
The court felt there would be no ROC role to take a decision on shifting NCLT.
The petitioner submitted that the professionals and advocates faced difficulties reaching the present location, which was far away from the city and requested to shift the office to the administrative tribunal building in Dharushifa.
