Photo exhibition on J Jayalalithaa rule's achievements

The exhibition was organized in a private marriage hall in Krishnagiri.

KRISHNAGIRI: The Krishnagiri district’s department of information and public relations office organized a photo exhibition to highlight the achievements of the Jayalalithaa government. The exhibition was organized in a private marriage hall in Krishnagiri where the higher education minister P.Palaniappan distributed welfare assistance to women.

Palaniappan after inaugurating the exhibition told reporters that the chief minister has fulfilled all the promises given before the 2011 Assembly elections. Besides, Jayalalithaa also has implemented several welfare schemes that were announced as poll promises.

In regard to the marriage assistance scheme, the minister said that over 54 kg of gold worth Rs 42 crore had been given to women- beneficiaries under the marriage assistance scheme from 2011. More than 13,642 women have benefitted out of the scheme in Krishnagiri district alone.
