Odisha: CCTV cameras installed in Lingaraj Temple for devotees' safety
It may be mentioned that 22 CCTV cameras have been provided by NALCO to the temple.
Bhubaneswar: High-tech CCTV cameras have been installed in the premises of Lord Shri Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to enhance security of the shrine and safety of devotees.
Tapan Kumar Chand, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) inaugurated the surveillance system at the temple office today in presence of Niranjan Sahu, Collector and District Magistrate of Khurda and other senior officials, a company release said.
It may be mentioned that 22 CCTV cameras have been provided by NALCO to the temple. Earlier, NALCO had provided the lighting system for illumination of the Lingaraj Temple, it said.
It may also be noted that NALCO has taken up the initiative for developing the surroundings of Jagannath Temple in Puri and creating facilities and infrastructure for pilgrims under the Iconic City programme of the Prime Minister, the release added.
