No takers for Sushma Swaraj's Bhopal bungalow for Vaastu flaws'
Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan eyed the government quarters allotted to Ms Swaraj.
Bhopal: C-7, Civil Lines, Professor Colony is a famous address, but, the spacious government bungalow, ironically, is still waiting for its VIP occupant.
The palatial bungalow was earlier allotted to minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj by state government as a member of parliament from Madhya Pradesh.
Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan eyed the government quarters allotted to Ms Swaraj.
Sources close to Mr Chouhan said that he had even hired a ‘vastu’ (ancient Indian science of architecture) expert from Delhi to have a look at the particularly bungalow on the aspect of its ‘vastu’ and later decided not to shift to it after finding some ‘flaws’ in its construction. He chose to shift to another government bungalow.
Later, the Civil Lines bungalow was allotted to state finance minister Tarun Bhanot, who also declined to stay in it for the similar reason.
He shifted to the government bungalow allotted earlier to former director general of police (DGP) of MP Rishi Kumar Shukla in “Char Imli” area here.
Mr Shukla has recently vacated his bungalow after being appointed director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Now, the Civil Lines bungalow famous for its beautifully designed landscape is still waiting for its VIP occupant.
