TSRTC bags two major awards

The TSRC won the prestigious award for achieving 5.46 KMPL under highest KMPL category.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has won two productivity awards for conservation of fuel for the year 2014-15.

The TSRC won the prestigious award for achieving 5.46 KMPL under highest KMPL category in fuel efficiency in mofussil services among the State Transsport Undertakings (STUs) having a fleet strength between 4001 to 10000.

TSRTC also bagged runner-up award for improvement of fuel KMPL from 5.41 to 5.46 for maximum improvement in KMPL in fuel efficiency for the year 2014-15 in mofussil services.

The Joint Managing Director of TSRTC Mr G V Ramana Rao received the awards at Bengaluru on Tuesday at a function organised by Association of State Road Transports Undertakings.

Auto drivers protest in Hyderabad
The Telangana State Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Autorickshaw Union on Tuesday took out a rally along the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway at Shamshabad.

Union leader A. Ravi Shanker alleged that the Cyberabad traffic police was levying challans indiscriminately without providing proper parking facilities for auto drivers. The union has also submitted a memorandum to
the Cyberabad traffic police.
