Janamochana Yatra to start on April 7

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior leader A.K. Antony will flag off state Congress party chief M. M. Hassan's Janamochana Yatra from Kasaragod on April 7. The journey against communal fascism and murder politics will culminate in Thiruvananthapuram on April 25. Mr Hassan said it would initiate a unique trend in the country. "This will be the first time a political party is organising a digital protest targeting women," he told reporters here.
“Yatra will see a unique protest in the form of digital protests envisaged and designed by the IT cell of the KPCC." Women will register their protest against murder politics digitally on mobile platforms. S. P. Sharmila, the sister of slain Youth Congress leader S. P. Shuhaib, will launch the app at Ernakulam on April 3.
Three-member teams of Mahila Congress and Youth Congress from each Assembly constituency will record their views. Overseas Indian Cultural Congress office-bearers too will be taking part in the novel protest. Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala, K. C. Venugopal, M. K. Raghavan, M. I. Shahnavas, Mullapally Ramachandran, V. M. Sudheeran, K. Muraleedharan, K. C. Joseph and other senior leaders would attend the flag-off at Kasaragod.
