University of Hyderabad girl to carry research work in France

The objective is to train top-level exploration geophysicists, who will then go-on to carry out research.

HYDERABAD: Puja Banerjee, a final year student of first batch of Integrated MSc Earth Science, at the University of Hyderabad has been selected for ‘International Master of Research in Solid Earth at IPGP’ (Institute De Physique Globe De Paris), France.

The IPGP is considered to be the second largest CNRS Institute for Earth Sciences in France and also a globally-recognised institution in Marine Geology and Geophysics. The objective is to train top-level exploration geophysicists, who will then go-on to carry out research either in academia or in the industry.
