Hyderabad: With parents upping the ante in their fight against the exorbitant fees being collected by private schools in the city, the state government is finally giving the issue its due importance.

On Friday, minister for information technology K.T. Rama Rao invited them for discussions. However, the delegation could not meet him as Mr Rao had to rush to Warangal for some work.

JAC member Seema Agarwal said, “We will be meeting the minister at 10am on Saturday. Scores of parents in the twin cities will be very happy if the government takes notice of their concerns and finds a lasting solution to the perennial problem,” she said.
