NEW DELHI: A jam-packed schedule awaits Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is set to travel to seven cities next week and attend eight events in two days.

Modi will travel to Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on Monday and Tuesday, in a whirlwind tour, to launch several development projects.

The Prime Minister will first travel to Khajuraho, before heading to Rewa to participate in a National Panchayat Raj Day programme and then returning. He will then fly to Kochi to participate in the Yuvam Conclave.

On Tuesday morning, Modi will leave Kochi for Thiruvananthapuram, where he will flag off a Vande Bharat Express and also lay foundation stones for various other projects.

The Prime Minister will then travel to Silvassa via Surat, where he is set to visit the NAMO medical college and then lay foundation stones for multiple development works. He will then head to Daman to inaugurate the Devka seafront and return to Surat, before heading back to Delhi.

The Prime Minister is set to cover over 5,300 km in 36 hours.

"The hectic schedule will see the Prime Minister travelling an aerial distance of around 5,300 km. To put this figure in perspective, one can look at the length of India from north to south, which is about 3,200 km," an official said, noting that the entire travel and other programmes of the Prime Minister are packed in just 36 hours
